Busy girl

So I finished my ripple blanket! Its off to its lovely home soon! I really enjoyed making this commission, I had forgotten how nice it is to see a big project through! I has been almost everywhere with me these past few weeks, (It took 20 days total) I have crocheted in the car, in the lounge, I even took it for a day trip to Seeded. So enjoy the various stages that I photographed of this…
Here we are in the planning stages. We decided on chunky stripes, so that once folded you still get a flash of all the colours.
Getting there! Here it is half way…
And here the finished article….
The border
And out flat
I am so please with how it turned out. 19 balls of stylecraft special dk, 3 weeks of love later, this is what you can have!

I’ve also recently sorted out my studio space to have somewhere to plan and work and get my creative flow going, I’ve finally got it how I need it. It is really great to be able to have somewhere to plan my next projects without having to squirrel it away because we need out dining table for dinner! So this is where I work…

Pretty isn’t it?

I have also been teaching a fair bit, and I designed this lovely mandala for a group of ladies I teach to introduce them to new stitches, haven’t they done well!!! I have a special place in my heart for mandalas, their meditative qualities and how the use of colour can really change the outcome. Just beautiful. I will name this one the Catherine Mandala, once the pattern is perfected, I will pop it up on the blog.
